i just got off the phone with mestre for over an hour & half (when i speak of mestre...there is only one. one mestre...Mestre Joao Grande).



a great great man. i had the greatest honor of meeting mestre in LA for the capoeira angola center of LA annual conference back in october. the week before the conference Kilombo Novo brought Omoade (student of mestre joao grande...my blessed experience at that conference confirmed for my soul...that i was meant to be an angoleiro). i knew from that point on that angola was apart of me, apart of my soul & i would live life as an angoleiro. I was most blessed with my angola name, given to me by mestre himself. i also had the honor of being chosen by THE MESTRE as his student. xango & i became very close to mestre & shared a connection, unbelievable.
