absentee...

i know i've been absentee from my blog, but ha...i'm certainly not absentee from exercising my right to vote...NEVER! i carry my voter registration card on me always...why? why not...it's just as important identification as my license...if one day i die, you will find my wallet and know i was an arizona driver, i attend ASU, i carry little cash & oh..."i'm a voter."

for those of you who care...or don't (cuz i really don't care if you care or not...cuz imma tell you anyway and since this is my blog....) my DOR (date of registration reads 12/5/1994). 3 months prior to my 18th birthday.

today is NOV 7th...ELECTION DAY.

and yes...i voted. (past tense b/c i actually cast my vote last week)...mail in ballots make my life easier, i can avoid the politicing & the "hurry up and wait game" with lines. today i'm wearing my red/blue sticker...because indeed, "i voted (for) today."

haha.

gya exercises her right to vote...why? among many reasons...at the core: my native & black ancestors sacrificed much, discouraged & blocked from having a voice or say...still fought & died for their right & mine today...

that kind of effort demands respect & honor.

i recognize, i respect, i honor...i vote.
